National Travel Awards 2021
Up to five (5) registrations (combination of in-person and virtual) to the 2021 NCURA Annual Meeting will be awarded to Region II research administrators. Recipients are selected based on nominations received by the deadline and considered by the Region’s Leadership Development and Nominating Committee as well as the Region II Steering Committee.
Recipients must attend the entirety of the Annual Meeting; provide a report of their experience at that meeting within thirty (30) days following the conclusion of the 2021 Annual Meeting; and, submit a reimbursement request.
In-person travel awards of up to $1,000 will be awarded to reimburse recipients for the cost of registration, travel, hotel or related.
Virtual travel awards will be awarded to reimburse the recipient for the cost of a virtual registration.
The Travel Award will be the amount of the appropriate registration tier for each awardee, to be paid directly by Region II to the NCURA National Office.
Process: Complete and submit the Application Form with a letter of support from the nominee’s supervisor to the Chair of the Leadership Development and Nominating Committee, Katie McKeon, at firstname.lastname@example.org by the application deadline.
Deadline: Wednesday, July 21, 2021, by 5:00pm EDT. Late applications will not be accepted.
Eligibility: Nominees must be research administrators from the Region II geographic area (Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Washington, DC). Nominees are not required to be members of NCURA at the time of nomination, but, but will be required to join as part of the registration fee for the meeting. Self-nominations are permitted.
Selection: Recipients are selected based on nominations received by the deadline and considered by the Region’s Leadership Development and Nominating Committee and the Steering Committee. Selections are based on perceived need and benefit to the nominees and benefit to the nominee’s institution. The Committee’s decision is final.
